Trusted by Governments & Industry Stakeholders in Other Vice Markets

Governments

We’ve successfully helped dozens of state, tribal, and local governments build equitable, data-driven vice economies. Now, we’re applying our proven implementation science methodology to gaming to improve public health, protect consumers, and promote sustainable economic growth. Using our empirical data, we identify exactly how efficacious your policies and RG/PG programs are.

Industry Stakeholders

As scientific technocrats, GPPC remains neutral on gaming and gambling, but never passive. We work with private-sector clients to reduce gaming-related harms through data-driven investigations and interventions, including custom surveys, program and product evaluation, message testing, strategic communications, and more.

About Gaming Public Policy Consulting

GPPC was established to address the public health and societal challenges associated with the evolving gaming and gambling landscape. GPPC administers the Regulatory Determinants of Gaming and Gambling Outcomes Survey (RDGOS), a frequently issued, national survey on gaming and gambling behaviors and associated outcomes. We’re redefining the existing “Responsible Gaming” space by applying a much-needed public health-centered, efficacious and science-first approach. We work to create responsible gaming ecosystems through a coalescence of data, behavioral science, and regulatory strategy. While we are neutral on gaming and gambling, we support the sustainability of the industry where player outcomes are better prioritized. We don’t just collect data, we design actionable solutions, mobilize support, and implement change at every level.

Bridging the Divide Between Public Health and Gaming Industry

There’s a gap between academic research on gaming outcomes and the reality of adopting effective and reality-based strategies to mitigate its known harms. GPPC is the only implementation science firm standing at this critical intersection, translating real-time empirical data into actionable strategies for industry stakeholders, policymakers, and companies committed to social responsibility.

Behavioral Science to Understand Consumer Behavior and Predisposed Vulnerabilities

Understanding the psychology of consumer decision-making is at the core of healthy vice markets. At GPPC, we use behavioral science and behavioral economics to uncover the psychological and social factors that influence gaming behaviors. Our behavioral scientists examine risky decision-making and consumer patterns to support sustainable play, develop prevention strategies for vulnerable players, and design and test intervention mechanisms for those experiencing harm.

Unlike many of the “Responsible Gaming” measures being deployed today, everything we recommend and implement has an evidence-base demonstrated by our own empirical data, not just broadly applied existing literature.
